The Art Universe features a roster of elite, contemporary artists - individuals who are professionally accomplished and institutionally recognized. The Art Universe is available exclusively on the Apple Vision Pro.
About Kaleido
The Art Universe is an extension of the Kaleido ecosystem, with Kaleido serving as the core platform offering that predates the Art Universe. Kaleido is a social marketplace for the arts (think Etsy meets Instagram for fine art). What makes Kaleido truly unique and special, however, is everything it does with augmented reality. Kaleido uses AR to wrap digital experiences around physical artwork, which delights and excites art audiences. You can experience Kaleido simply by visiting www.kaleido.art or by downloading the Kaleido mobile app on iPhone or Android.

How many artists are in the Art Universe?
On launch day, the Art Universe will feature approximately 100 elite, contemporary artists. More artists will join over time, but the Art Universe roster will always remain selective and exclusive.
What types of art is available in the Art Universe?
The Art Universe features a very diverse set of art. Genres include abstract, surrealism, impressionism, pop & urban, portrait & figurative, minimalism, realism, nature art, and erotic art. Disciplines include painting, photograph, drawing, and digital art. Identity groups include young artists, female artists, LGBTQ+, Black & African, Latin American, Asian & Pacific, Francophonic, Portuguese & Brazilian, and New York City artists.
I am an artist - how can I join the Art Universe?
Artists join strictly via invitation. Although we are not accepting applications from the general public at this time, you may still email hello@kaleido.art if you’d like to introduce yourself to the Art Universe team.
What is the relationship between the Art Universe and the Apple Vision Pro?
The Art Universe is a spatial application that was built specifically for the Apple Vision Pro. Think of the Vision Pro as an iPhone, and the Art Universe as an app that you can download onto the device. Other than that, there is no formal relationship between Apple and the Art Universe.
What is the long term vision for the Art Universe?
We think of the Art Universe as a sort of "Netflix for fine art," where art is interactive and immersive in a spatial environment. We are at the absolute beginning of building out this vision!
